Right at the top of the starting ramp of the roller-coaster, at a breath-taking height of 27 metres stands a man who could have walked straight out of a science fiction film. Dirk Auer (36) is wearing a low-wind-resistance 8 mm thick protective suit, a streamlined helmet and massive inline skates on his feet. From this position, the mechanical engineering student from Groß-Gerau, Germany, plans to skate down and around the roller-coaster. Nobody ever before has come up with such an insane idea! Believe it or not - in 54 sec, he sped round the rollercoaster track on inline skates!
